I have been working at Koito for over 10 years; I started off as a production operative and have held a variety of positions within the business.
I feel valued here and through good times and bad I have thoroughly enjoyed it!
At Koito there are always opportunities to progress.
MY ROLE
My current position is in Material Control which is challenging but rewarding.
My main objective is to ensure we have enough bought out components to satisfy the manufacturing plan whilst not holding excess stock. I liaise with production and our suppliers to keep the stock at the optimum level, highlighting any concerns or shortages and work with all departments to prevent stopages. It is important to develop a good working relationship with our suppliers so that we can work together through any difficult periods.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE JOB
I believe if you work hard and go above and beyond what is required of you, you will get noticed and you will stand out, you will also gain people’s respect – this is what I practice.
I help people when they need it as there may be a time where I may need a hand myself.
